Feature overview

Goals

The aim of the Grant full allowance during Suspend feature is to allow to configure a Zone Price Plan to enable full Monthly Included allowance during SIM suspend.

Out of scope

  • Prepaid Price Plans (including Top-Offs)

  • Network Group Price Plans

Preconditions & Assumptions

  • For Pro-Rating suspend is charged and granted always accurately according to the Price Plan (change)

Functionality of the feature

The feature enables the Price Plan to grant full Monthly Included allowance even if the SIM was Suspended during the entire Billing Cycle both for Retrospective and Pro-Rating.

The functionality of this feature is available for all Postpaid Price Plans.

If a full grant during suspend is enabled, a SIM still contributes to the Monthly Included allowance even if it is in Billing Status Suspended. Charging any (or even no) MRC during Suspended is independent of this configuration, and the MRC during Suspend is just charged according to the Price Plan configuration.

Note that in case the MRC for Suspended SIMs which is part of Charges per SIM feature is not available on the CMP instance, the option to grant full allowance during suspend is not available as well.

With this feature, the calculation of the number of active SIMs for Tiering is extended to also consider Suspended SIM Cards. If a Price Plan is considered to enable full grant during Suspend, and a SIM is in Billing Status Suspended on that Price Plan at the end of the Billing Cycle, this SIM Card contributes to the number of active SIMs that must be counted as active for Tiering calculations.
