Scope
This document provides background information as well as a functional description of the FT-3001.007 Define Account as Reseller add-on feature. The described feature is supported from the release version 5.0 onwards.
Note
Define Account as Reseller is an add-on feature and requires a special license. Ensure that you have agreed with Mavoco about the usage of this feature before taking it into use.
This feature is part of the Reseller Account Management functionality with number FN-3001.

Feature overview
Goals
The aim of the Define Account as Reseller feature is to allow the creation of Reseller Accounts, that have the ability to create their own Customers, Price Plans, and Products, as well as invoices for each Customer.
Functionality of the feature
Users in CMP can either create
a standard Account, or
a Reseller Account.
Reseller Accounts have the ability to create their own Customers, Price Plans, and Products, as well as invoices for each Customer.
The Reseller Account creation and onboarding process is similar to that of standard Accounts, except that the Account Type Reseller must be selected and the Reseller Profile must be defined.
