Account Audit Log (FT-2001.003)

Scope

This document provides background information as well as a functional description of the FT-2001.003 Account Audit Log standard feature. The described feature is supported from the release version 4.0 onwards.

Note

Account Audit Log is a standard feature and does not require a special license.

This feature is part of the Audit Log functionality with number FN-1028.

Feature overview

Goals

The aim of the Account Audit Log feature is to provide the Enterprise Accounts access to the history of all automated and user-generated actions.

Functionality of the feature

Account Audit Logs contain a history of all automated and user-generated actions for the Account in the Enterprise Portal. Reports of actions, such as user object creation, modification, and/or deletion or any changes triggered by the system, such as automation rules, are a valuable resource when identifying historical changes to objects, incorrect actions as well as security breaches or data corruption.

Audit logs can be exported from the Enterprise Portal for further review.

The Audit Logs display the following information:

Field

Description

Event Date

The date and time when the change occured.

Status

The status of the event (e.g. success).

User

The username of the person who performed the change, either through the web interface or through an API.

In case of a system change, the system module is reported.

Operation

The operation type: Created, Modified, or Deleted.

Resource

The resource which is being reported, e.g. SIM Card, Rule, Batch Task.

Resource Name

The name/identifier of the resource that change, e.g. ICCID, Rule Name, Device ID.

Previous Value

The previous attribute value.

New Value

The new attribute value.

Description

Additional text/information on the event.

Searching Audit Logs

Audit Logs can be searched and filtered by Event or Resource Type, as well as for a certain time period.
