Feature overview
Goals
The aim of the Price Plans - Individual SIM feature is to provide a Price Plan solution where the consumption of each SIM Card is charged individually.
Technical Prerequisites
This feature does not require any specific technical integrations for standard operation.
While no direct dependencies apply in typical scenarios, additional integrations or configurations may be necessary depending on the customer's infrastructure, business processes, or regulatory environment.
Functionality of the feature
In Individual Price Plans the consumption of each SIM Card is charged individually. Consumption over the included volume is always charged or if less is consumed there is no cost reduction.
Prepaid Individual Price Plans
In a Prepaid Individual Price Plan, each SIM is charged upfront at the time of activation. The Proce Plan includes a defined allowance and duration, and it operates independently of the Billing Cycle. Once the allowance is consumed or the duration expires, the Price Plan expires.
If Auto-Renew is enabled, the same Price Plan is automatically reactivated with the same conditions and charges. Prepaid Price Plans do not support overage; any usage beyond the allowance is blocked. Since charging is fixed at activation, there is no cost adjustment if the full allowance is not used.
Postpaid Individual Price Plans
In contrast, Postpaid Individual Price Plans align with the Billing Cycle and charge each SIM based on its actual usage during that period. The Price Plans include an allowance, but usage beyond that volume is allowed and charged as overage. There is no defined end date for the Price Plan, it remains active until explicitly changed or removed. Charges are applied at the end of each Billing Cycle, and similar to the prepaid model, unused allowance does not result in a cost reduction.
