Scope

This document provides background information as well as a functional description of the FT-2001.006 SIM Group advanced feature. The described feature is supported from the release version 4.0 onwards.

Note

SIM Group is an advanced feature and requires a special license. Ensure that you have agreed with Mavoco about the usage of this feature before taking it into use.

This feature is part of the Account Self-Administration functionality with number FN-2001.

Goals

The aim of the SIM Card User Group feature is to allow to efficiently organize the constituents of an Account.

Functionality of the feature

The creation of SIM Card Groups helps to efficiently organize the constituents of an Account, such as departments or teams. Account Admin Users control the Access Rights of sublevel Users and User Groups. The User that created the Group can see all of its objects, Users and User Groups, while Users of an underlying entity cannot see objects from units above them.

The Account Administrator and subsequently created Users can create any number of Groups and pass on the required Access Rights to each Group.
