Feature overview

Goals

The aim of the Shared Price Plans feature is to allow Service Providers to create and manage such Price Plans, that can be shared across multiple Accounts in the CMP.

Out of scope

  • Network Group Price Plans

  • Using APN-Groups, Rating Groups, Roaming Profiles or Time Slices within Shared Price Plans

  • Assigning Shared Price Plans directly to Sub-Accounts

  • Changing/overriding any Price for specific Accounts

  • Any Reseller/Customer scenario

Functionality of the feature

To support the local market and customer needs, CMP provides the Shared Price Plan feature, which allows for the creation of Price Plans that can be shared by multiple Accounts, i.e. there is no mandatory Account relation for the Price Plan, thus reducing the maintenance effort of Price Plans when any price has to be adjusted.

Note that only Zone Price Plans can be created as Shared Price Plans.

If the feature is enabled, Zone Price Plans can be configured to be either dedicated or shared. In case the Price Plan is defined to be shared, it must have a Network Interface and Currency assigned to it.

Shared Price Plans can be assigned to any Master Account, however, even though the Account doesn’t get verified at Price Plan validation, the assigned Account must match the following settings from the Price Plan:

  • the Currency of the Account has to be the same as the Price Plan’s Currency,

  • the related Account has to have a Default Roaming Profile assigned and active to fit the Price Plan’s Network Interface

Note that

  • Shared Price Plans cannot be assigned to a Network Interface whereas its underlying Platform is configured for Wholesale provisioning, and

  • Shared Price Plans cannot configure individual Prices for APN-Groups or Rating Groups, and

  • Shared Price Plans cannot configure individual Time Slices so have a flat “Full Day” slice only, and

  • Sub-Accounts can only inherit Price Plans and cannot have Price Plans assigned to them directly or from outside their Account hierarchy.

In case the feature is disabled, Shared Price Plans cannot get created or approved.
