Feature overview
Goals
The aim of the Price Plans for Flexible Pools of SIMs feature is to provide a Price Plan solution where the flexibly growing total volume of the Price Plan can be distributed among multiple SIM Cards.
Functionality of the feature
Pool Price Plans are a special type of Price Plans, where volume is distributed among multiple SIM Cards instead of a single subscription. CMP supports two types of Pools: Flex and Static Pools.
Note:
The Pooling option is only available for Zone Price Plans.
Flex Pools
In a Flex Pool, the total volume is calculated by the amount of included service (e.g. data) of one SIM Card multiplied by the number of SIM Cards in the Pool and the entire pool of SIM Cards can share the total volume of the Pool. Hence the total volume is flexible and grows when adding SIM Cards to the Pool.
Example
In the case of the Price Plan "Euro Data – 100," the Flex Data Volume is 4 x 100 MB = 400 MB. This data volume is shared by all of the SIM Cards in the Pool. A single SIM can use more than 100 MB while others use less than 100 MB, as long as the total volume does not exceed 400 MB.

Flex Pool Proration
When a SIM Card is added to a Flex Pool mid Billing Cycle, then a prorated amount of for included data (and related billing charge) for this SIM is added to the Pool. The SIM may still use any amount of data from the Pool, regardless of how much it added.
Proration is calculated in the following way: included volume divided by the number of days in the Billing Cycle multiplied by the number of days until the Billing Cycle ends.
Example
(1024 MB/31 days)*17 days=562 MB
Optionally, proration may be disabled, which allows the SIM to add its entire monthly included volume at any time of the Billing Cycle. Accordingly, the charge will also account for an entire Billing Cycle in that case.
However, this can only apply to a SIM at the beginning of its lifecycle.
