Feature overview

Goals

The aim of the Extra Charges based on Offer Types feature is to enable the application of additional recurring and one-time charges based on the Offer Types assigned to SIM Cards and Price Plans.

Out of scope

This feature is dedicated to Postpaid Base Price Plans only, and is not supported for Prepaid or Supplemental Price Plans.

Functionality of the feature

The Extra Charges based on Offer Types feature allows for the definition of additional charges based on Offer Types. Each Offer Type can trigger specific recurring (MRC) and one-time (Activation) costs. These charges are configurable and will be applied to the respective Price Plan.

Users can select an active Offer Type when creating or modifying a Postpaid Price Plan or uploading a SIM file. An Offer Type can be specified for SIM, eSIM, Multi-IMSI, and eSIM Multi-IMSI files.

Note

The availability of the eSIM Multi-IMSI and Multi-IMSI upload types depends on the Multi-IMSI (FT-1020.001) feature.

When a SIM Card or Price Plan is assigned an Offer Type, the associated additional charges are automatically applied during the Billing Cycle. Only Charge Triggers of active SIM Cards on Price Plans with a configured and active Offer Type are considered.

If no Offer Type is specified, no additional charges are applied.
