Feature overview

Goals

The aim of the English Language Package feature is to introduce the support of English in the components of the CMP.

Functionality of the feature

Base language and additional languages

CMP supports English as the built-in default language (i.e., base language), and the support of each additional language is available as a licensed optional feature. Consequently, a language not licensed on the CMP instance should not be visible when changing languages.

Changing languages

Language preferences can only be selected on the login page and the system will remember the last selected language for the User. In order to change the GUI language, the User has to log out and log in again.

Note:

The only exception to this is the CAS User Management application, where the User can change the GUI language while logged in.

With Single Sign-On the selected language will be applied to all CMP modules.
