Scope
This document provides background information as well as a functional description of the FT-2001.004 Account News standard feature. The described feature is supported from the release version 4.0 onwards.

Account News is a standard feature and does not require a special license.
This feature is part of the Account Self-Administration functionality with number FN-2001.

Feature overview
Goals
The aim of the Account News feature is to allow Enterprise Administrators to efficiently distribute messages to a broad audience through the Enterprise Portal.
Functionality of the feature
CMP allows Users to create news postings that will be visible to all Users of an Account. The News feature facilitates the distribution of messages to a large audience by presenting newly created news postings to the User as a pop-up message upon login. This is offered as an alternative method that may be more efficient and preferable to using a separate email application.
